LET A CLEFT NOT SCAR YOUR LIFE
The cleft anomaly
affects the lip of the nose and the palate of every individual in various
proportions. Cleft lip and palate treatments most of the times leave scars or with abnormal appearance even after
surgery, if done properly without using fine materials or techniques. The lip
and the perioral region is covered by
delicate skin which can show marks of prior surgery. The degree of the scar
varies in its intensity or depth or width.
A young girl who was a
case of cleft lip anomaly had reported to the Richardsons Hospital with a complaint
of an unesthetic lip and deformed nose. She had undergone cleft lip repair
elsewhere where the cleft deformity was completely treated however it left a scar on the edge of the lip which was very obvious and unpleasant to look at.
She was also worried about her deformed nose and sought for an improvement of her
appearance.
A thorough evaluation
was done at the Richardsons Hospital and the minute areas which required
correction were noted. She underwent a surgery which corrected her scar and the nose improving her appearance
remarkably.
As years have gone by, she has become a confident individual with a very pleasing face.
The finest of corrections which bring definite changes to the face are done
regularly at the Richardsons Hospital. Our motto is to make every cleft
individual look and lead the life of a person without cleft!!
