Cheiloplasty

Cleft lip repair should be done at the correct age and with utmost care. The tissues of the infant are very delicate and require handling with care if scarring is to be avoided.

At Richardsons Dental and Craniofacial Hospital it is recommended that the baby should weigh at-least 5 kilos for the surgery. An expert pediatric anesthesiologist looks after the fitness and preparation of the baby.

Mohit was brought to us by his parents who were visibly distraught by the cleft lip of the baby. We did the entire work up for the baby and prepared him for operation theater. His cleft lip repair was done under general anesthesia and he recovered comfortably.
